Artist Biography
Chen Yan Jun is a Singapore based artist. She started painting in her elementary school and further her painting inspirations in LaSalle College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Her works explore a variety of art forms such as portraitures, still life, abstract art and texture. Besides fine art, she is also interested in Fashion and indulges in Fashion illustration. She seeks to be a perfectionist in her works and wishes to collaborate with other like-minded industry players in the future. She endeavours for greater recognition with hopes of her works inspiring others.
Artist Statement
As a practicing artist, I am essentially interested in creating artworks which would inspire people, hoping to use different form of techniques to apply my concept in my artworks. I love sketching and painting portraits, figures and still life. My strongest components are sketching and painting portraitures. My artworks do not have any specific influence from any artist nor sticking onto a specific theme, however, images from illustrated art / pictorial books contribute to my creativity in my process of art-making..
